Bill Crowe is a highly successful higher education leader having experience at both two-year and large land-grant institutions. During his 25-year tenure at Tyler Junior College (TJC), Texas, the college received recognition as the leader in Texas providing transfer students to universities and produced more Phi Theta Kappa/USA Today Academic All-Americans than any other college in the country. 

Bill led the growth of the TJC foundation to become the largest two-year college support foundation in Texas and one of the largest in America. He developed the alumni association at TJC to large membership growth and established alumni chapters in every major city in Texas as well as Los Angeles and New York City. The TJC Board of Trustees awarded him consecutive ten-year contracts to serve as president, reflecting the strong relationship between the Board and Bill.

As a senior faculty member and director at the University of Georgia, Bill led a team of over 400 employees in the development of online educational programs. Implementing performance metrics, Bill propelled his team to generate $17 million in annual external revenue, an increase of over 250%. Bill researched fundraising and foundations in America's two-year colleges and continues a longitudinal study of two-year college foundations.

A distinguished graduate of the Community College Leadership Program at the University of Texas at Austin, Bill teaches doctoral level courses in advancement/development, leadership ethics, and higher education finance and organization theory. He is a speaker at national and state fundraising conferences, presenting his research and its implications for community college fundraising. Bill is a highly sought-after consultant and speaker and consistently receives the highest evaluation scores possible. “Dr. Crowe’s presence commands audience attention,” is a common evaluation comment.

Bill holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Bill earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler and a BBA in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.
